2027 Equine Qualifiers

Full details on the Performance Irish Draught, Connemara Ridden & Working Hunter, and NEW Eventing Star of the Future Championship qualifiers will be available here in the coming weeks.

Eventing Star of the Future Championship

Ahead of the 2027 Balmoral Show, the RUAS Equine Committee are delighted to introduce the Eventing Star of the Future Championship.

This exciting new championship will replace the Star of the Future – Performance Horse Championship and feature two competitive classes:

• 4-Year-Old Class
• 5 & 6-Year-Old Class

The championship is restricted to Irish-bred horses. To be eligible to compete, horses must have a named passport clearly identifying their sire, dam, dam sire, microchip number and breeder.

Four qualifiers will take place in the new year, and exhibitors wishing to qualify for the championship must attend a minimum of two qualifiers.
