Due to popular demand, the Glenarm Castle Mini Land Rovers, kindly sponsored by Property Pal, are back in the Children’s Area this year.
Kids aged 3 and over can steer, accelerate, and navigate through a specially designed track with little hills, bumps, and obstacles—just like a real off-road driving experience!
Please note, parents must be there to supervise their children at all times.
The showgrounds are bursting with sensory experiences for children of all ages and learning styles.
For kids who thrive off the Balmoral Buzz, the sheep shearing competitions, Downtown Show Stage performances, Main Arena entertainment and busy livestock rings are must-sees.
For those who prefer to make the most of our quieter times, there are special sensory sessions in the funfair (Wed & Sat), hands on activities in the Healthy Horticulture Area and a new sensory zone in the Children’s Area.
Do you live with a promising vet, mini farmer or Dr Dolittle?
Then there’s nowhere better than the Balmoral Show for meeting agricultural livestock and exotic animals in one place.
Get up close and personal with the creepy crawlies and scaly reptiles in the Kidz Farm or create your own route around the showgrounds to meet the finest horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry and small animals from across Northern Ireland.
From planting pots and beehives in the Healthy Horticulture Area, to free samples and cookery demonstrations in the NI Food & Drink Pavilion or the school Wool Innovator displays in the Sheep Shearing Fold, there are endless opportunities for learning across the site.
Northern Ireland has a proud and rich agricultural history and at the Balmoral Show we are very proud to showcase that to everyone, especially our younger visitors.
What will your kids take away about food and farming from their visit to this year's Show?
With a our Under 10's Show Jumping Championship, sheep dog displays, fun fair, climbing wall and bungee trampolines, colouring cube, and the Pony Club Games, we hope everyone has a day to remember at the Show!
Please be aware, often a family favourite, the Logan Hall (Cattle Hall) is a very busy area and requires closure at certain times whilst cattle are being moved to and from judging.
This is for the safety of the cattle, the exhibitors and you, our visitors. Our priority at all times is that everyone can have a safe experience and unfortunately this means that at times we cannot allow access to the Cattle Hall. Please check back in following guidance from the stewards or visit the Show rings to see all of the action.
