With teams of two from England, France, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales taking to the stage the big question is, who will clip their way to victory?
Blade shearing is the traditional method of shearing sheep which involves manual, spring-loaded shears which operate like large scissors instead of the more modern hand-held electric shearers.

This year the Show closing times have changed.
The Show will still open at 9:30am each morning but will close at 7:00pm from Wednesday to Friday and at 6:00pm on Saturday.
For those hoping to watch an early livestock or equine class our soft opening from 8:00am is still available for ticket and wristband holders from Public Entrance 1.

After over a decade of growth, the Healthy Horticulture Area has been revamped and transformed into the NEW Horticulture Hub.
This will be your one stop-shop for:

As part of our sustainability journey there will be no printed Map & Timetable leaflets this year.
All of our classes, trade stands and amenities can be found on the new Balmoral Show app.
The app uses GPS to help you navigate the showgrounds with ease so don't forget to download it before your visit!


Soaring 35ft in the air above the SPAR Main Arena this year will be none other than the world renowned Bolddog FMX team.
Catch their heart stopping tricks and magical manoeuvres twice a day every day at this year's Show.
And if your young motorheads want to find out more they can meet the team and get a closer look at their bikes thanks to their interactive stand beside the new Horticulture Hub.
Our Show Jumping Committee have introduced important changes to align with the evolving trends of modern show jumping, offering athletes and spectators a more diverse and exciting range of fixtures at the Show.
These exciting classes kick off on Wednesday 13th May, when spectators can look forward to the new International Winning Round Classic competition.
Recognising the growing popularity of similar competitions, it will be allocated the second-largest prize fund of the event, making the first day of this year’s Show just as thrilling for enthusiasts as the last!
