The Royal Ulster Agricultural Society is proud to unveil the revamped Horticulture Hub at this year’s Balmoral Show.
Cultivating a fresh identity, this vibrant and exciting area of the showgrounds, formerly known as Healthy Horticulture, aims to entice those of all ages to embrace the garden-to-table lifestyle.
Visitors will be inspired to cook, gather fresh produce and savour outdoor living thanks to dozens of the Show’s most popular trade exhibitors, volunteers and educational contributors. From hot tubs and garden furniture, to landscaping experts, vegetable plugs, heritage craft demonstrations and climbing frames, there truly is something to help everyone embrace the great outdoors.
A firm favourite, the revamped Horticulture Hub Pavilion will continue to nurture curiosity for younger minds as nature’s playground and pantry play key roles in the Kid’s Sensory Trail. For budding chefs of all ages, the packed timetable of talks and demonstrations have been designed to help whip up tasty mid-week feasts in 30 minutes or less.
Visitors of all ages will also be able to meet our ‘Hero Growers’ from across the province who nurture the fresh local produce we find on our plates.
With backing from Northern Ireland’s leading stakeholders within the industry, including CAFRE and the UFU, this vibrant section of the showgrounds is dedicated to strengthening the connection between producers and consumers.
